  • ½ cup (tea cup) of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine

For the Topping:

  • 330 grams of semi-sweet chocolate, melted

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a rectangular baking pan.
  2. In a blender, combine the chopped carrots, milk, oil, and salt. Blend for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the sugar and blend again until incorporated.
  4. Pour this mixture into a large bowl. Gradually add the sifted flour, mixing with a whisk until the batter is uniform.
  5. Gently fold in the baking powder.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan until just warm. Do not unmold.
